How do the carotenoids in Regeneplex support skin health?

Regeneplex contains a number of pigments called carotenoids. These compounds, such as lutein, beta carotene, alpha carotene, lycopene, and zeaxanthin, have a structure that helps them manage potentially damaging molecules like free radicals and reactive oxygen species that naturally occur in the body. Lycopene also supports skin smoothness. Carotenoids in general provide support against skin reddening and photo aging.*

How do zinc and vitamin C contribute to skin health?

Zinc is abundant in the top two layers of our skin, the epidermis and the dermis, as well as in connective tissue. Vitamin C plays an essential role in supporting collagen creation. Both zinc and vitamin C have the potential to protect cells from damage by free radicals. Mild zinc deficiency, while not generally considered an area of concern for the population at large, is more prevalent in certain subgroups of the population and has been linked to roughened skin, among other concerns.*

What other ingredients add synergistic support in this product?

Both the B-vitamin complex and coenzyme Q10 support the body's energy pathways and protect cell structures. B vitamins also support digestion and the circulatory system, both vital to proper delivery of nutrients throughout the body. Both buckwheat flour from the plant seed and buckwheat juice from the plant's leaves and stems provide plant chemicals linked to cellular protection from free radicals.*
