Indigo helps nurture healthy Qi and clear Evil Qi from the lymphatic system. It helps clear chronic viral infections in the lymph nodes, the lymph fluid as well as the immune cells in the lymphatic system.
There are many viruses that cause persistent infections in the lymphatic system including the lymph nodes and the immune cells in the lymphatic system. Common viral infections of the lymphatic system including Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) which is human herpesvirus 4 (HHV-4) and cytomegalovirus (CMV) which is human herpesvirus 5 (HHV-5).
Epstein-Barr virus (EBV), has been associated with a variety of human diseases. Exposure to the EBV is widespread and nearly all people have been exposed at some time in their childhood, as evidenced by serological tests on populations. The virus primarily resides within B lymphocytes and can remain dormant in a latent state for a long time. EBV can cause infectious mononucleosis characterized by lethargy, sore throat, swollen lymph node and low-grade fever that can resolve itself without treatment. EBV can also cause Burkitt lymphoma which is a cancer started in the B lymphocytes.
Cytomegalovirus (CMV) is a virus also with high infection rates in the human population. It is currently estimated that 50% of people in the US have been infected by the time they reach adulthood. CMV is the major cause of non-Epstein-Barr infectious mononucleosis in the general human population. It is also an important pathogen in immunocompromised hosts, including patients with AIDS, neonates, and transplant recipients. However, the vast majority of CMV infections are asymptomatic. In adults, if symptoms do occur, they typically include fever, fatigue, swollen glands and lymph nodes, water retention, and pharyngitis.
Indigo helps clear viral infected cells in the lymphatic system. Patients should notice improvement in symptoms within 1 week. 8-12 weeks of treatment may be required for significant improvement. During the viral clearing process, there will be an increased amount of toxins and wastes. Brown, LC Balancer and Xcel are also required to help clear these wastes.
